Customer: Technip Offshore
Project: Otway Gas Project
Required: A block for the lifting of a topside production platform, suitable for offshore conditions.
Solution: Nobles engineers designed, manufactured and tested a massive 600 tonne capacity double sheave block.
Customer: BHP Billiton Olympic Dam
Project: Clarke Shaft Recovery Project
Required: Nobles were involved in re-establishing the ropes and winding system, including sourcing new specialist ropes. We also worked for six months on site supporting the hoisting crews & and supplied, inspected & tagged a wide range of equipment from slings & chain blocks to Ingersoll-Rand winches. We also supplied and installed an electric chain hoist with remote controlled LCD load display and a 50 metre height of lift.
Customer: John Holland Group
Project: Abbot Point Shiploader
Required: Hoisting & boom ropes and load cell pins for a shiploader with a 7200 tonne per hour capacity
Solution: Nobles worked closely with the lead engineers to determine the optimal rope specifications for the almost 1,000m of rope required, and custom engineered a variety of load cell pins, including ones up to 220mm in diameter.

Customer: BHP Billiton & Boom Logistics
Project: Pilbara Rail Infrastructure
Required: A simple and safe rigging system to move 178 tonne locomotive rolling stock that required minimal labour to set up due to the remote location.
Solution: Nobles proposed and supplied sophisticated synthetic slings with Dyneema, providing a very high strength, low stretch sling system that only required a single person to handle on site.
