Nobles is working with ITI (USA) to bring Australian customers a new generation of simulation for crane operation and rigging activities with Virtual Reality .
ITI currently offer two hardware packages for crane simulation:
Desktop VR Simulator
The Desktop VR Simulator is a compact, mobile package that can be setup on top of any desk, deployed from 2 Pelican cases that can be carried as standard aircraft luggage, providing a mobile option to your entire team.
Motion-Base VR Simulator
The Motion-Base VR Simulator offers a crane cab experience for the trainee including an operator chair on a motion base that simulates all varieties of movement.
Comprehensive software training, assessment scenarios and control units are currently available for:
TADANO GR-1000XL - Rough Terrain Crane
ITIVR worked with the Tadano team to bring the GR-XL Rough Terrain Series to the ITI VR Simulation Library with this 100-ton model capable of 154 feet of boom length. Four single-axis joystick controls for this model are included in the ITI VR Desktop and Motion-Base hardware system.
LINK-BELT 218 HSL - Lattice Boom Crawler Crane
The 110-ton Link-Belt crawler model capable of 154 feet of main boom length is a solid model for operator screening, training and assessment. Two multi-axis joystick controls for this model are included in the ITI VR Desktop and Motion-Base hardware system.
Bridge/Gantry - Overhead Cranes
Two new overhead crane models are currently in development and are expected to be available to Nobles customers in early 2019. The ITI VR Overhead Bridge/ Gantry Crane Simulator can be cab-operated as well as remotely operated via additional ITI VR supplied hardware controls, such as a pendant or belly-box.
LIEBHERR 550-EC-H - Hammerhead Tower Crane
Tower crane simulation scenarios are in development and are expected to be available to Nobles customers in early 2019. The ITI VR Tower Crane Simulator will utilize existing ITI VR hardware with the option of additional ITI VR OEM based control units.
TEREX BT28106 - Boom Truck Mobile Crane
The boom truck scenarios are currently in development by ITI VR and are expected to be available to Nobles customers in mid 2018.
