Nobles have extended their partnership with quality UK-hoist equipment makers William Hackett to include the distribution of their DNV-GL approved HA Master Links across Australia as of March 2020. Nobles already distribute their proven range of specialty sub-sea, corrosion protected and ATEX hoists, trolleys and universal beam clamps. The addition of this master link range to Nobles product offering allows a wider range of quality products to be available to the Australian oil and gas industry.
The HA range of master links and quad assemblies are the most complete range of links available today, in diameters from 16mm up to 120mm and working load limits from 4.1 tonnes to 250 tonnes. The links are manufactured from triple alloy steel and are individually proof load tested to 2.5 times working load limit. They are all supplied with charpy impact values of in excess of 42 Joules at -40°C and the links are suitable for use in a temperature range of -40°C up to 200°C without reduction in working load limit. These HA range of links are widely used in lifting sets for offshore containers and they are type approved to DNV-ST-E271 under approval number TAS000013Z Rev. 3.
Nobles have joined forces with William Hackett to launch this product to the Australian oil and gas market at the Australasian Oil and Gas conference currently being conference held in Perth. Along with these HA Master Links, William Hackett has launched the SS-L5 quad pawl lever hoist which incorporates a patented quad pawl (QP) mechanism to position it as the safest and most efficient offshore and subsea lever hoist in the world. The patented QP mechanism synchronizes a set of four pawls which constantly work together to minimize the time and distance travelled to the next point of engagement.
Ben Burgess, Director at William Hackett says, “Safe just became safer with the SS-L5 QP due to its increased
resilience to failure whilst also providing a fine tolerance hoist capable of adjust to less than one millimetre. These developments combined with DNV verification for multi-immersion provide significant improvements to operator safety and reduce project costs for hoisting offshore by up to 80%.”
Keith Bishop, Nobles General Manager Products & Marketing says, “Our partnership with William Hackett has been an important factor is our recent successes. We have built a strong relationship based on collaboration and strategic alignment which is why we are excited to exhibit with a world class supplier at the AOG conference in Perth.”
Nobles have been distributing William Hackett products to a range of industries for many years. The HA Master Links are already approved and in use by oil and gas companies such as BP, Shell, Technip, Subsea 7, Wood Group, Oceaneering and many more. Nobles have these master links and quad assemblies as well as the SS-L5 QP lever hoists available from their specialised oil and gas centres located around Australia. These items and more from William Hackett can be ordered through Nobles Customer Service Centres or through their online webstore.
